If you’re staying by yourself, sure, maybe none of this makes sense for you, financially. Now we’ve never received anything like that from any hotel we’ve ever stayed in.
He also stopped by a few times (after asking us if it as ok – it was) and dropped off some fresh salsa he had just bought at the market along with a couple bottles of his favorite wine. Our host actually stocked the fridge with beers, fresh fruit, and had a Keurig coffee machine ready to go with fully stocked coffee for the entire week of our stay. Now, a lot of time booking a home gets a lot of flack from hotel-lovers because they say you have to do everything yourself. Outside of the home being so kick-ass, we felt confident when booking it because we were able to read the reviews, hear from people who actually stayed there, and even speak with the owner once we were about ready to book. This home was something we could only have dreamed of living in, but now we were actually doing it.
Luckily, after we found them we were able to book an entire home (3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, outdoor space, etc). All the hotels were booked and the ones that weren’t had priced through the roof. For us, booking an Airbnb came in handy when we were traveling to Austin, TX to take part in SXSW.
